GP Rating Colleges Fees

There are various GP Rating colleges in India. Given below are the best colleges recommended by Merchant Navy decoded with their eligibility, criteria & fees :-

1. NUSI GOA

  • Course Duration – 6 Months
  • Fees – RS.1,50,000 ACADEMIC FEES+ 18,000 UNIFORM FEES+2000 CAUTION MONEY.
  • Exams are conducted in first week of JANUARY FOR JULY BATCH AND first week of JULY for JANUARY BATCH EACH YEAR.

GP RATING Eligibility:-

Between 18 years to 25 years before entry in training (On 1st January or 1st JulyHeight: 158 cm Minimum  BMI: 20 Minimum BMI: 30 Maximum   Normal color and field of vision. No squint. No eye disease.   Distance Vision: [Unaided] 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in another eye.   No speech impairment (disorder)6 months. Course starts on 1st of January and 1st July each year.

2. T.S. RAHAMAN

  • Course Duration – 6 Months
  • Fees – Rs. 2,45,000/-
  • EXAMS IS CONDUCTED TWICE A YEAR.

GP RATING Eligibility: –

  • 10th standard pass from government recognized board with subjects English, Mathematics & Science with 40% aggregate. English 40% in 10th /12th. OR 12th standard (any stream) pass from government recognized board with 40% aggregate. English 40% at 10th / 12th but with subjects English, Mathematics& Science at 10th. OR Pass in 2-year ITI course approved by DVET; with minimum 40% aggregate marks in final year of ITI & minimum 40% in English in 10th / 12th
  • Age: 17 ½ years and not over 25 years on the date of commencement of training.
  • Eye sight: distance vision 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in another eye and normal color vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate from a Doctor Approved by DGS (Original + one photocopy)
  • 18 copies of passport size and 4 stamp size Photographs with White Shirt & Light Background.

3. GREAT EASTERN INSTITUTE OF MARITIME STUDIES

  • Course Duration – 6 Months
  • Fees – RS.4,50,000/-

Application forms are available in first week of JANUARY FOR JULY BATCH AND first week of JULY for JANUARY BATCH EACH YEAR

GP RATING Eligibility: –

  • Candidate must have Passed in 2 Year ITI or 3 Years Diploma Course in the below mentioned streams from Govt. approved Technical Institutes with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year and minimum 40% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Board. (Candidates having only 10th and/or 12th Standard qualification should NOT apply for the course). Physical Standards:
  • Medical Standard: Candidates should be of good health and physically fit for sea service without any illness, physical or mental deformity.
  • Candidates will have to undergo a full medical check-up prior admission through our Panel Doctor who is approved by D. G. Medical Standard:-

  •  6/6 in each eye without visual aids. Normal color vision.
  •  Candidates will have to undergo a full eyesight test by a Company Medical Officer. 1. 2. 3.
  • Minimum Height: 157 CMS.
  • Minimum Weight: 48 Kg.

Eyesight’s In case of candidates from:- Lakshadweep, Andamans and Nicobar Islands, Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and other hilly areas, including those from the states of Nagaland, Mizoram Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwali, Sikkim, the minimum height & weight should be as under:-

  • Minimum Height: 152 CMS.
  • Minimum Weight: 42 Kg.
